I am a Postdoctoral researcher in Computer Science at IMT Atlantique (ex. Telecom Bretagne, a high graduate engineering school), DECIDE research group (Decision Aid and Knowledge Discovery) of Lab-STICC laboratory in Brest (France). My current research concerns sequences mining, prediction, data flows/streams, temporal sequences, user profile modeling

My research interest is mainly related to data sciencesdata mining and machine learning in complex data (voluminous, varied, rapidly generated). I am interested in prediction tasks especially early prediction and detection of events within complex sequences. One of my research contributions is to propose new classification (supervised), patterns and rules mining (non supervised) algorithms. I am also interested in stream mining techniques for emergent events and concept drift detection using large-scale data processing models.

In Oct. 2016, I received my PhD in Computer Science from Lorraine University (Nancy, France), entitled "Prediction and influence of the occurrence of events in a complex sequence" (see PhD manuscriptPhD defense presentation), in LORIA Laboratory (Lorrain Laboratory in computer science, researches and applications) within KIWI research group (Knowledge, Information and Web Intelligence). I was a full Temporary Lecturer and Research Assistant (ATER) at Lorraine University, IUT Charlemagne (Computer Science department) in 2015-2016.

In 2012, I received my research Master degree in Computer Science, speciality “Software and Knowledge Engineering” from Strasbourg University (France). During my master studies, I did a research internship in ICUBE laboratory in Strasbourg (France), within the BFO research group (Theoretical Bioinformatics, Data Mining and Stochastic Optimization). This internship focused on multi-label classification for prediction objectives. The master manuscript is entitled "Data Mining applied on multiple alignments of protein sequences" (see Master manuscript here)

In 2008, I got my diploma in Computer Science Engineering (5 years study) from Tichrine University (Lattakia University, Syria). Speciality: "Software Engineering and Information Systems".
