Short Bio

Nora Cuppens is a Research Directeur at TELECOM Bretagne of Institut Mines-TELECOM. She holds an engineering degree in computer science, a PhD from ENSAE (National Higher School of Aeronautics and Space - Sup’Aero) and an HDR from University of Rennes 1.

Her research interest includes formalization of security properties and policies, cryptographic protocol analysis, formal validation of security properties and reaction risk assessment. Her current research topics include detection and reaction to intrusions, a posteriori access and usage control and traceability, privacy preserving by query rewriting and data fragmentation and anonymization.

She has published more than 170 technical papers in refereed journals and conference proceedings. She has been member of several international program committees in information security system domain and the Program Committee Chair of several conferences and tutorials.

She is the head of cyber security transverse programme CyruS of LabSTICC (the TELECOM Bretagne associated CNRS research laboratory) and she is member of this laboratory security team SFIIS.

She is the French representative of IFIP TC11 "Information Security", member of the working group Cyber Security of Allistene, and  member of the editorial advisory board of Computer & Security Journal of Elsevier and the International Journal On Advances in Security.
